If you are searching for Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana in 2026, here is the first thing you should know: the scheme no longer runs under that name. Rajasthan merged it into a new scheme called Lado Protsahan Yojana from 1 August 2024. The benefit also went up, from ₹50,000 under Rajshree to ₹1,50,000 under Lado.
Many websites still show the old Rajshree details, so parents get confused about which scheme their daughter falls under and how much money is due. This guide clears that up. What Happened to Rajshree Yojana?
Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana started on 1 June 2016. It paid ₹50,000 in 6 installments, from the girl’s birth up to her admission in Class 12.
In 2024 the Rajasthan government launched Lado Protsahan Yojana and merged Rajshree into it from 1 August 2024. A Women and Child Development Department order signed in March 2026 confirmed it: girls who were already under Rajshree will get their remaining installments under Lado Protsahan Yojana, as per their eligibility.
So it works like this:
| Girl’s date of birth | Which scheme | What she gets |
|---|---|---|
| Before 1 June 2016 | Neither | Not covered |
| 1 June 2016 to 31 July 2024 | Rajshree (now paid via Lado) | Remaining installments under Lado. Installments already received are not paid again |
| On or after 1 August 2024 | Lado Protsahan Yojana | Full ₹1,50,000 in 7 installments |
One point is still unclear. The March 2026 order does not spell out whether the new ₹1,00,000 final installment also applies to girls who started under Rajshree. If your daughter was born before August 2024, confirm this with your local WCD office.
Lado Protsahan Yojana Installments
| No. | When | Amount | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | At birth | ₹2,500 | Born in a government hospital or JSY-registered private hospital |
| 2 | At 1 year | ₹2,500 | All vaccinations due from 9 to 12 months completed and recorded on PCTS |
| 3 | Class 1 admission | ₹4,000 | Admission in a government or recognised private school |
| 4 | Class 6 admission | ₹5,000 | Regular enrolment |
| 5 | Class 10 admission | ₹11,000 | Regular enrolment |
| 6 | Class 12 admission | ₹25,000 | Regular enrolment |
| 7 | Graduation and age 21 | ₹1,00,000 | Graduation completed and age 21 reached |
| Total | ₹1,50,000 |
Under the original 2024 rules, the total was ₹1 lakh. The Rajasthan budget raised it to ₹1.5 lakh, and most of the increase went into the final installment. The government describes the total as a savings bond paid out in stages.
Old Rajshree Installments (For Reference)
| No. | When | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | At birth | ₹2,500 |
| 2 | At 1 year with vaccinations | ₹2,500 |
| 3 | Class 1 admission | ₹4,000 |
| 4 | Class 6 admission | ₹5,000 |
| 5 | Class 10 admission | ₹11,000 |
| 6 | Class 12 admission | ₹25,000 |
| Total | ₹50,000 |
As you can see, the first six installments are the same. Lado adds the big seventh one at graduation.
Who Is Eligible
- The girl’s mother must live in Rajasthan and have an Aadhaar card and a Jan Aadhaar card. The March 2026 order relaxed the earlier “original resident” condition to residence backed by Aadhaar and Jan Aadhaar.
- The girl must be born in a government hospital or a private hospital registered under Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY). Home births are not covered.
- For the second installment, all vaccinations up to 12 months must be complete and recorded.
- For the school installments, the girl must be regularly enrolled in a government school or a recognised private school. Private schools were added later. Earlier, only government schools counted.
- For the final installment, she must complete graduation and reach age 21.
Who Is Not Eligible
- Girls born before 1 June 2016.
- Girls born at home or in a private hospital not registered under JSY.
- Families where the mother does not live in Rajasthan or has no Jan Aadhaar.
- Girls in unrecognised schools, for the school-stage installments.
Documents Required
Under the 2026 changes, most details are picked up automatically, so you may not need to submit anything. Still, keep these ready in case they are asked for:
- Mother’s Jan Aadhaar card and Aadhaar card
- Girl’s birth certificate
- Mamta card or vaccination record
- Bank account details, linked with Jan Aadhaar
- School admission proof (for installments 3 to 6)
- Graduation certificate and the girl’s own bank account (for installment 7)
- Mobile number linked with Jan Aadhaar
How to Apply
There is no separate online application form that parents fill for most installments. This is the part that confuses people the most. Here is how it actually works:
- During pregnancy: register the pregnancy at your ANC check-up. Your ASHA or ANM worker does this.
- At birth: when the delivery happens in a government or JSY-registered hospital, the girl’s details go into the PCTS health portal. The first installment is processed from there.
- At 1 year: once vaccinations are complete and recorded on PCTS, the second installment is released by the Health Department.
- School installments: when you admit your daughter in Class 1, 6, 10 and 12, the school updates her record on the Shala Darpan portal. The Education Department then releases the payment.
- Final installment: after graduation and age 21, the Higher Education Department processes the ₹1,00,000 into the girl’s own bank account.
Since March 2026, the government auto-fetches eligibility from the PCTS / Aushadhi and Shala Darpan portals. Eligible girls are not asked for a separate residence certificate or birth certificate. A new portal built by DoIT will join these records together.
What parents should do: keep the Jan Aadhaar details updated, link the bank account with Jan Aadhaar, complete all vaccinations on time, and make sure the school has your daughter’s correct details on Shala Darpan.

Why Your Installment May Be Stuck
- Bank account not linked with Jan Aadhaar. This is the most common reason. DBT payments fail without it.
- Vaccination not recorded. Even if the vaccines were given, the record must be updated on PCTS.
- Wrong details on Shala Darpan. Ask the school to check the girl’s name, date of birth and Jan Aadhaar details.
- Private hospital not registered under JSY. Then the first installment may be rejected.
- Name mismatch. The mother’s name must match across Jan Aadhaar, Aadhaar and the bank account.
If an installment is late, talk to your ASHA/ANM worker for the first two, and the school for the rest. You can also call 181.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana closed?
It is not running as a separate scheme any more. It was merged into Lado Protsahan Yojana from 1 August 2024. Girls already under Rajshree continue to get their remaining installments through Lado.
How much money does a girl get under Lado Protsahan Yojana?
Up to ₹1,50,000 in 7 installments, from birth until she completes graduation and turns 21.
My daughter was born in 2020. Will she get ₹1.5 lakh?
She was under Rajshree, so her remaining installments now come through Lado. Installments she already received are not paid again. Whether the new ₹1,00,000 final installment covers her is not clearly stated in the March 2026 order, so check with your local WCD office.
Do girls in private schools get the money?
Yes, if the school is recognised by the government. Unrecognised schools do not qualify.
Is there an online form to apply?
For most families, no. The data is picked up from hospital and school records. You only need to make sure Jan Aadhaar, the bank account and vaccination records are correct.
Is there a limit on the number of children?
Rajshree had conditions linked to the number of children for some installments. The 2026 guidelines we reviewed do not mention such a limit for Lado. Confirm with the department if this applies to your family.
Does anyone charge a fee for this scheme?
No. The scheme is completely free. If anyone asks for money to “register” or “release” an installment, do not pay.
Final Word
If your daughter was born in a hospital in Rajasthan after June 2016, there is a good chance money is due to her under this scheme. Most families miss installments only because the bank account is not linked or a record is wrong, not because they are not eligible. Run the checker above, fix whatever it flags, and keep the school and health records updated.
